The Supervisor Ultrasound Diagnostic Imaging will provide assistance and direction for all technical activities of the department as needed. Provides resource information for staff and other departments. Provides supervision for technologists, clerical staff and radiology assistants in Bend and Redmond locations with support and technical guidance for Imaging operations throughout SCHS and its partners. This is a Leadership and Management position.

Management duties are to provide direction and supervision for all activities in the Ultrasound area including technologists, students, clerical staff and Radiology assistants as assigned.
Completes evaluations, coaches and monitors the performance of all direct reports, to develop and maintain a high performance team that meets organizational and department goals.
Assists with recruitment and orientation of staff.
Responsible for scheduling of staff and signing off timecards.
Liaison for inpatient care areas, and outpatient clients and customers, regarding any Ultrasound related issues or concerns
Identify and improve all imaging processes for maximum customer satisfaction and efficiency
Responsible for updating or writing new procedures, work instructions and worksheets related to Ultrasound.
Monitors EMR/billing systems for Ultrasound completing daily charge audits.
Monitors PACS system operations for accuracy and quality related to Ultrasound across the System.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and other duties as assigned.
Create, inspire and implement a department culture and leadership that embraces SCHS’s vision. Coach and lead staff to achieve and exceed the standards required to accomplish this. Continually evaluate and adjust the steps necessary to meet this vision and motivate staff to achieve this in their daily work
Responsible for budget compliance, regular monitoring, accountability and meeting all operational targets for all areas within span of control.
Leads, coaches and monitors the performance of all direct reports, to develop and maintain a high performance team that meets organizational and department goals.
Monitors and ensure all direct reports are current with compliance and safety requirements. Implements and manages all organizational safety directives and goals.
Provides and oversees team’s delivery of customer service in a manner that promotes goodwill, is timely, efficient and accurate.
Role models two-way communication of the SCHS mission, vision, values, and strategic plan for the department.
Conducts all activities with the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality. Complies with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures, supporting the health system’s corporate integrity efforts by acting in an ethical and appropriate manner, reporting known or suspected violations of applicable rules, and cooperating fully with all company investigations and proceedings.
Delivers customer service and/or patient care in a manner that promotes goodwill, is timely, efficient and accurate.
Education: High school diploma or GED required. Graduate of a certified Ultrasound training program. Bachelors degree preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current OBMI, ARDMS Registry or Registry eligible (OB/GYN, Abdominal and Physics required. Additional ARDMS registries preferred). Should support RDMS, SDMS, and local affiliations.
Personal Protective Equipment: Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to perform the job safely.
Experience: Excellent supervisory skills required. Five years experience in US required. Two years successful experience in a management, lead, or supervisory role prefered. Experience with Imaging teaching programs preferred.
