The Supervisor Diagnostic Radiology will provide assistance and direction for all technical activities of the department as needed. Provides resource information for staff and other departments. Provides supervison for Radiology Coordinators, technologists, clerical staff and radiology assistants.
Management duties are to provide direction and supervision for all activities in the Diagnostic Radiology area including technologists, clerical staff and Radiology Assistant’s.
Completes evaluations and coaching plans for staff.
Assists with recruitment and orientation of staff.
Responsible for scheduling of staff and signing off timecards.
Liaison for inpatient care areas, and outpatient clients and customers, regarding any imaging related issues or concerns
Identify and improve all imaging processes for maximum customer satisfaction and efficiency
Responsible for updating or writing new procedures and work instructions related to Diagnostic Radiology
Monitors EMR/billing systems for Diagnostic Radiology completing daily charge audits.
Monitors PACS system operations for accuracy and functionality.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and other duties as assigned.
Member of the Radiation Safety Committee.

Monitors and ensure all direct reports are current with compliance and safety requirements. Implements and manages all organizational safety directives and goals.

Education: High school diploma or GED required. Graduate of a certified Radiologic Technology program or school. Bachelors degree preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current ARRT or equivalent registration. Valid Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) license.
Personal Protective Equipment: Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to perform the job safely.
Required: Three (3) years’ experience in X-ray. Two (2) years as lead or in a coordinator role.
Preferred: Five (5) years’ experience in X-ray and previous Supervisor experience.
